James C. Capretta is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and author of U.S. Health Policy and Market Reforms: An Introduction, published by AEI Press in 2022. From 2001 to 2004, he was an associate director at the White House Office of Management and Budget with lead responsibility for major health care and social welfare programs. He has an MA in public policy studies from Duke University and BA in government from the University of Notre Dame.
