Brandan P. Buck is a research fellow in foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute. He is a historian of domestic opposition to US foreign policy in the twentieth century, postwar conservatism, and the national security state. His research concerns the impact of an activist foreign policy on American society and civil liberties, the history of US strategic thinking and its implications for contemporary politics, and the politics of foreign policy.
