Victoria Wakefield

Victoria Wakefield is the Director of Development at the American Institute of Economic Research, where she leads fundraising strategy and donor engagement in support of AIER’s mission to advance ideas that promote a free and flourishing society.

Victoria brings nearly a decade of experience in development and organizational leadership. Prior to joining AIER, she spent ten years at State Policy Network in senior roles spanning development, programs, and organizational intelligence. This cross-functional background informs her approach to fundraising as both a strategic and relational practice—grounded in clarity, trust, and long-term mission alignment.

A Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Victoria brings a people-centered approach to leadership and development, emphasizing collaboration, thoughtful stewardship, and strong internal partnerships.

A proud alum of North Carolina State University and Charlotte native, Victoria lives in her hometown and is hopelessly devoted to the Carolina Panthers.
